Hi, I’m Varinder Parihar.
I’ve been running Google Ads for more than 10 years now. Somewhere in the last few years, most of my work shifted to one thing: car dealerships.
I’m starting this blog to share what I’ve actually learned. Not theory. Not stuff I read somewhere. Just what’s worked (and what hasn’t) in real dealership ad accounts I’ve handled.
Here’s the thing about Google Ads for dealerships. Most advice online is too general. It talks about “Search campaigns” like every business is the same. But a dealership is not a normal business. People don’t buy a car the way they buy shoes or a subscription. The buying cycle is longer. The keywords are trickier. And a lot of budget gets wasted on clicks that were never going to turn into a sale.
I’ve seen this happen again and again. A dealership bids on “Toyota Camry for sale” thinking it’s the safest keyword in the account. Turns out it’s often the one quietly draining money, because it also brings in price-checkers, competitor research, and people who just want to know what their old Camry is worth.
That’s the kind of thing I want to write about here. Small, real lessons from actual campaigns. What negative keywords actually matter for dealerships. How to structure Search campaigns so new and used inventory don’t compete with each other. What happens when AI agents get added into the mix (I’m testing this right now with a dealership client, and it’s changing how leads get handled).
I’m not going to promise instant results or “10x your leads” tricks. I don’t believe in that stuff. I just want to write down what I know, one post at a time, in a way that’s actually useful if you run ads for a dealership or you’re thinking about it.
If that sounds useful to you, stick around. I’ll be posting regularly.
